EBC and EBRA
The European Brain Council (EBC) is a non-profit organisation bringing together brain-related specialist societies, patient organisations and industry with the mission of promoting brain research in Europe. EBC gathers science and society in order to improve the quality of life of those living with brain disorders.
EC-IFCN is a founding member of EBC, together with EAN, EPA, ILAE, IBRO, EFNA and others. 1 November 2018 marked the launch of the EBC-coordinated EU project ‘The European Brain Research Area (EBRA).
EC-IFCN is also serving as a member organisation in this project. The aims of EBRA project are to foster alignment and better co-ordination of research strategies across European and global brain initiatives; facilitate the emergence of research projects in specific areas, provide them with support for effective collaboration and increase the visibility of the brain research portfolio as a whole.
